PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION OF SPECIES DIVERSITY IN TIMOR-LESTE
Reflecting the core mission of KFF, this goal can also be linked to findings from stakeholder consultation for the development of Timor-Leste’s Environmental Strategic Plan which highlights conservation of biodiversity of global significance as one of the key strategic areas.

Since its establishment, KFF has shown its commitment to environmental research, education and capacity building. Goal 3 reflects that commitment as it outlines actions to strengthen nature conservation in Timor-Leste through science and education.

NATURE-BASED TOURISM AND MANAGEMENT
Tourism is an essential driver for the development of economic activities in Timor-Leste. Nature-based tourism can contribute to both economic development and safeguarding of Timor-Leste's natural heritage. Goal 4 emphasizes actions for a successful adoption of nature-based tourism all over the country, thereby contributing to the strategic programme of the IX Constitutional Government of Timor-Leste.
